#EDPiper Twitter Chats
https://twitter.com/hashtag/edpiper?lang=en Twitter is the platform that I do the most networking, collaborating, contributing, and engaging with. I regularly engage in Twitter chats for educators. Most often, I participate in the #EDpiper chat run by @TrueNorthCG, an educational consulting firm in Texas. These chats are at 9PM each Monday night. Every week has a different educational topic or theme, and a variety of educators participate answering a series of questions. Participating has helped me to build a network of educators to follow. Outside of the Twitter chat, I am able to see these people’s tweets and get ideas about how other schools and districts are overcoming challenges, putting out positivity, or conquering new technology integrations. Twitter has been a great asset for staying in touch with the instructional leaders in the classroom in my prior districts. Twitter is the perfect platform to share out what’s going on in your classroom, and this year I was invited to speak at the School Board because of great things happening in my classroom. My district and superintendents would not know those parts of my story without my sharing on Twitter. Another Twitter chat I sometimes am able to participate in is a much larger chat: #tlap. I would like to participate in a #satchat, but they are a little early for me on Saturdays (6:30AM). |
